In the December 01, 2010 Express (i.e., the FREE Washington Post newspaper available around Washington DC metro stations), on page 34, there is a new “logic puzzle” by Doug Gardner – it says “Patent Pending”, so I decided to check it out further..
in the patf.uspto.gov patent search website (free!), I typed “in/((doug or douglas) and gardner)” in the Patent Published Application database, I got: 20100252993 and 20100207325
in the PAIR portion of the uspto.gov website (for public access to records), it seems that 20100252993 has been finally rejected, and the person prosecuting this application is the inventor himself: Douglas Daniel Gardner of Arlington, VA!
apparently, the Express newspaper page showing the puzzle also gives a website for information to resolve these “logic puzzles”, as well as “books” available on AMAZON.COM!
